  • It’s fast: You can sign up online or through the mail – in less then five minutes!
  • It’s easy: No more hassle of writing a check each month. You can also change your monthly gift at any time.

Memorial Gift

memorial gift is a thoughtful way to remember someone special. Be sure to provide the name of the person for the memorial gift as well as the contact information of the family member or friend you wish to notify. An acknowledgement letter will be sent to that person and a tax receipt will be sent to you. (We do not specify the donation amount in the acknowledgement to the family.)

Honor a loved one with a Tribute Gift

In lieu of a birthday or holiday gift, make a donation to APDA in honor of a beloved friend or family member.  Or throw a party to honor someone impacted by PD, and ask guests to make a charitable gift.

Matching Gifts

Double – or possibly triple – the amount of your donation with a matching gift from your company. See if your company matches here: www.apdaparkinson.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/matching-gift-program/

Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution

Are you age 70-1/2 or older? A charitable IRA rollover allows you to transfer funds directly to APDA without having to recognize the distribution as income.

DIY Fundraising

You don’t have to sweat to raise funds for APDA. You can turn just about any activity into a fundraising opportunity. No matter what activity you choose, planning and promoting a fundraising event in your community is a great way to raise important funds and awareness for APDA.  Throw a party to honor a loved one impacted by Parkinson’s. Plan a bake sale, chili cook-off or yard sale to benefit APDA. Or ask friends to support you in an adventure such running or biking for the fight against Parkinson’s disease. Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes.

  • You can contribute cash, securities or other assets to a donor-advised fund.  Typically you are eligible to take an immediate tax deduction and then the funds are invested for potential for tax-free growth. You can then recommend grants to any qualified public charity, such as APDA.
  • You can make a one-time gift or set your DAF account to make automatic recurring grants in the amount and frequency of your choice. It’s easy to do — just log into your account on your charitable sponsor’s website and select “recurring” option.  It’s a great way to make your charitable giving more convenient.
  • Due to their convenience and tax-benefits, DAFs are becoming an increasingly popular way to give to the organizations you care about.
  • Having funds set aside in a DAF can help you focus on your giving goals.

If you would like to make a gift now through your DAF, simply click the blue DAF pay bar below to find your fund:
