Programs for Those Impacted by Parkinson’s
Create Joy Series
A series of interactive workshops designed to spark joy and creativity for people with Parkinson’s and their family members.
Passport to Research
Join us for a series of interviews with local research experts who are working to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease. Learn about the project they are working on, how to get involved and ask questions.
Take Control Series
Parkinson’s disease is a complex disorder with new challenges to face as the disease progresses. The more educated a patient and family becomes the more they are able to Take Control of their disease. Experts in the field will educate and prepare you to recognize these challenges and learn how to manage them with practical tools and greater knowledge so that you can live life to the fullest.
The program will take place once every other month on line via the Zoom platform.
Each session will be approximately one hour – a 40 minute presentation followed by Q & A from the audience.
Specialty Programs
For the Newly Diagnosed
PRESS Program:
This 8 week program is designed for individuals diagnosed with PD in the last 5 years to help you feel empowered, in control, and optimistic. The program is aimed at providing education, emotional support and a safe place to share coping strategies to live your best life with PD in a small group setting.
Parkinson’s Good Start:
A two-day educational program for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the past 3 years. Learn from a team of esteemed experts and receive up to date information on diagnosis and treatment.

For Care Partners
Powerful Tools for Caregivers
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a series of 6 classes that teaches family caregivers how to take better care of themselves while caring for a family member or friend. The series has been taught worldwide since 1998 and APDA Northwest is excited to be able to offer it in 2022 to those who are caregivers to someone with Parkinson’s disease.
