Ways to Give to APDA Georgia

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Georgia Chapter APDA serves Parkinson’s communities throughout Georgia with the generous support of your individual and corporate donations. Please help us in easing the burden and finding a cure. If you would like to contribute to our chapter, please follow any of the instructions in the column to the right. We offer the following options for donating:

Memorial

You can donate in memory of a deceased loved one or friend. When donating, please include the name of the person for whom your donation is made and a mailing address for that person’s family. You and that person’s family will receive an acknowledgment letter of your gift.

Honor

You can also donate in honor of a family member or friend who is currently fighting Parkinson’s disease. Please include the name of the person you are honoring with your donation.

Special Occasion

You can share your celebration of a birthday, anniversary, career move, or other special event with a donation that will positively affect the lives of many Parkinson’s patients.

Last Will & Testament

You can leave a final donation to the APDA through your personal will.

Matching Gifts

You can ask if your employer will match your donation dollar-for-dollar, which would double your donation. If you are required to serve your community, ask your employer if donating to the APDA would fulfill your obligation.

Fundraisers

You can host your own fundraiser and donate the proceeds to the Georgia Chapter APDA. Contact us for more information.

Gifts can be given by mail, phone, or online.

Donor Advised Funds

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes.

  • You can contribute cash, securities, or other assets to a donor-advised fund. Typically, you are eligible for an immediate tax deduction, and the funds are invested for potential tax-free growth. You can then recommend grants to any qualified public charity, such as APDA.
  • You can make a one-time gift or set up your DAF account to make automatic recurring grants in the amount and frequency you choose. It’s easy to do—just log into your account on your charitable sponsor’s website and select the “recurring” option. It’s a great way to make your charitable giving more convenient.
  • Due to their convenience and tax benefits, DAFs are becoming an increasingly popular way to give to the organizations you care about.
  • Having funds set aside in a DAF can help you focus on your giving goals.
If you would like to make a gift now through your DAF, click the blue DAF pay bar below to find your fund:
