Executive Director, Massachusetts Chapter
Location: Boston Metro Area
The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is currently seeking an Executive Director for the Massachusetts Chapter to join their growing organization. The Massachusetts Chapter is one of APDA’s most well-established chapters, provides an array of dynamic programs and services, and a revenue budget of approximately $700k, the majority of which is raised through events. The Chapter serves as the hub of the Northeast Region which covers Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The Chapter seeks an Executive Director (ED) to lead its team to achieve continued growth and champion efforts in the region. The ED role is a hybrid position, with a blend of work from home and in the community and requires some evenings and weekends and includes travel locally, statewide, and regionally to cultivate relationships, engage constituents and attend local events and meetings.
APDA has additional assets in the state, including an Information and Referral Center, the Center of Rehabilitation at Boston University, and two Centers for Advanced Research at Brigham and Women’s and Boston University.
The ideal candidate has leadership experience in the non-profit sector, is familiar with Massachusetts’s geography, culture, and the philanthropic market; has a proven track record in fundraising and donor cultivation; is knowledge of Parkinson’s disease and/or chronic illness, the healthcare and social service systems; possesses strong relationship-building skills and communications strengths, the ability to multi-task, deliver exceptional customer service; and utilize keen problem solving and judgment skills.

Programs & Research Assistant

Executive Director, Florida Chapter
Location: South Florida
The Role
The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is currently seeking an Executive Director in South Florida to join their growing organization. The Florida Chapter provides an array of dynamic community-based programs and services throughout the State and currently has one full-time Program Director based in Central Florida, and annual revenues of $100,000+, the majority of which is raised through events. APDA’s has two additional assets in Florida, including a Center for Advanced Research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville an Information and Referral Center at the University of Miami and a Center for Advanced Research at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

Regional Administrative Coordinator
The Role
The American Parkinson Disease Association, is currently seeking a Regional Administrative Coordinator to join their growing organization. The Regional Administrative Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt, salaried position that reports to a Regional Director based in Seattle, and is responsible for providing operating support to the Chapter staff and volunteers in six chapters (FL, GA, MN, VA, WA, WI) and assist in the provision of general information to the community and persons impacted by Parkinson’s Disease, ultimately meeting the objectives of APDA’s mission: Every day, we provide the support, education, and research that will help everyone impacted by Parkinson’s disease live life to the fullest.
This role is a hybrid position, with a blend of work from home and in person, and requires some evening and weekend hours, as well as occasional travel locally, regionally or nationally to attend events and meetings.
The ideal candidate is a detail focused, team-oriented, results-driven individual who possesses strong computer skills, the ability to use technology to achieve desired results, has experience in using databases, demonstrates communications strengths, possesses the ability to multi-task, juggle priorities and deliver exceptional customer service, utilizes keen problem solving and judgment skills, and is familiar with the region’s culture and geography.
