Connect with the Care Team is a casual presentation with Q&A provided by the APDA Florida Chapter. Parkinson’s Care Team providers bring their expertise on a variety of subjects and topics to consider during yours or a loved ones PD journey. CWCT is intended for Person’s with Parkinson’s, their Care Partners, families and friends looking to support persons impacted with Parkinson’s. The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Information & Referral (I&R) Center at the
University of Miami will soon launch an eight-week support series and introduction to
Parkinson’s disease (PD) for South Florida residents diagnosed in the last five years and their
care partners. The PRESS™ (Parkinson’s Roadmap for Education and Support Services™)
program will meet virtually.
APDA’s PRESS program is specially designed for people within five years of a PD diagnosis
and their care partners. The eight-week program will be conducted in a support group format
and aims to help attendees feel empowered and optimistic by providing education, emotional
support and a comfortable space to share.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is required, reach out to APDAFLORIDA@APDAPARKINSON.ORG to be placed on the waitlist for the next available program!
