About Our Speakers
DR. JILL FARMER Dr. Jill Farmer completed medical school at UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine and her Residency in Neurology and Fellowship in Movement Disorders at Georgetown University in Washington DC. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Drexel College of Medicine and Owner and Founder of Boro Neurology, LLC in Hopewell, NJ. Her clinical interests include Parkinson’s disease medical and surgical management, botulinum toxin injections for dystonia and spasticity, and functional movement disorders. Her research interests include telemedicine, the emotional and environmental impacts on neurodegenerative disease, continuous infusion therapies for Parkinson’s and the utility of wearable devices in managing motor symptoms of Parkinson’s. For the past four years, Dr. Farmer has been the co-administrator for the Women Neurologist Group which she helped grow to over 4,000 members, bringing together an international group of women neurologists from residency through retirement.
JEANIE VEITH Jeanie Veith has travelled extensively, speaks three languages fluently, is adept with computers and has been retired from her 4th career for just 7 months. She was a radio DJ or presenter in several jobs and sang in local and international choirs. At age 74, she is finding exercise, a daily health journal, and support groups to be integral to her continued health. Jeanie was diagnosed with PD just after her 70th birthday.
