Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Chicagoland Optimism Walk!
With 474 walkers, incredible energy, and a powerful sense of community, this year’s Walk was a meaningful celebration of hope, connection, and support for people living with Parkinson’s disease and their families.
The Chicagoland Optimism Walk is more than a fundraising event, it’s an opportunity for the Parkinson’s community to come together, share experiences, honor loved ones, and celebrate the strength and resilience of those impacted by Parkinson’s disease. Each year, walkers, families, care partners, friends, and supporters unite to show that no one faces Parkinson’s alone.
While the Walk may be over, the impact continues. Fundraising remains open, and every dollar raised stays local to help APDA Illinois provide free Parkinson’s disease education, support groups, resources, and services throughout Illinois. These programs help people with Parkinson’s and their families live life to the fullest while building connection, confidence, and hope.
If you haven’t had a chance to give, or would like to share your fundraising page one more time with friends and family, there’s still time to make a difference. Together, we’re helping APDA Illinois reach more families, expand programs and services, and strengthen the Parkinson’s community across Illinois.
Chicagoland Optimism Walk donations can also be mailed to PO Box 2164, Naperville, IL 60567.
